Last week I was delighted to be asked to create some bespoke bunting for a customer who was throwing a baby shower for her sister.
My customer chose her own fabrics and went for three different teal fabrics which each had different patterns in cream.
I thought this was a brilliant choice of colour as it would have been so easy to go for the obvious choices of blue, pink and yellow.
My customer bought half a metre of each fabric, which was more than enough to make around 4.5 metres of double sided bunting. If you have less fabric available, leaving a small gap between flags is an easy way to make your fabric go further.
Teaming the bunting flags with a cream tape created a very elegant effect.
Bunting is a simple but effective way of decorating a room for a special event, and can be stored away and brought out again and again. The finished result below looked fab!
Bunting is also a great way to pull your wedding colours through into the reception. Go for a luxury look with lace, a rustic theme with burlap, or anything in between.
If you have an old duvet set, table cloth, or even some old clothes that are coming to the end of their life, these can be up-cycled into gorgeous bunting!
